[About Stegosaurus]
- From about 195 million years ago to about 136 million years ago, it was called the Mesozoic/Jurassic period, and it was an era when large dinosaurs flourished.
- Stegosaurus is the representative dinosaur of this Jurassic period.
- 4-9 meters long and weighs around 2 tons.
- A type of dinosaur called a stegosaurus, characterized by two rows of large diamond-shaped bone plates that alternated from just behind the head to the middle of the tail.
- It also had two pairs of sharp spines at the tip of its tail.
- Being herbivorous, these bony plates and spines are thought to protect against attacks by carnivorous dinosaurs.
- The brain was extremely small compared to the body, and there were clusters of nerves in the shoulders and lower back that supplemented the work of the brain, but it seems that the movement was sluggish.
