-Gabriel Giffords entered service in 2017 as the 5th Independence-class ship.
-It has a unique style that pursues stealth with a major feature of having a trimaran type hull.
-The fifth ship, Gabriel Giffords, was the first ship equipped with the Naval Strike Missile (NSM), an anti-ship cruise missile developed by Kongsberg, Norway.
-It is still active with its naval base in San Diego, California as its home port.

[About the model]
-This is a plastic model assembly kit that reproduces Gabriel Giffords, an Independence-class fifth ship in service in 2017, on a 1/700 scale.
-The model has a total length of about 18cm and faithfully reproduces the characteristic hull form.
-Anti-ship missile system, first introduced by Gabriel Giffords, NSM firmly reproduces its twin bow mount quadpack launcher with a new mold. In addition, the radar installed at the upper part of the bridge and the Mk-46 / 30mm gun system are also modeled with a new mold.
-Unique hull shape pursuing high speed and stealth is made by integrally forming parts of the upper and lower parts of the hull using slide molds. The result is a smart kit technology.
-In addition, MH-60S helicopter and rotary wing unmanned aircraft MQ-8 Fire Scout are also included in the kit.
-It is a kit that can not be overlooked by its unique shape for current ship fans.
-Can be assembled by selecting either full hull type or offshore model type that reproduces only the top from the waterline.
-Of course, a dedicated display stand is also available for use when assembling the full hull type.
