――The JR Kyushu 817 series is a 20m3 door suburban vehicle that was introduced in the Kitakyushu area in 2001, and has since been active throughout Kyushu by developing variations and transferring to suit the line section used.
――The 0s, 1000s, and 1100s are convertible cross-seat cars with aluminum hairline specifications, and the 2000s and 3000s are long-seat cars with white paint on the aluminum body, one unit for 2 to 3 cars. It is a vehicle that can be operated in a long train by combining with other types (813, 815 series, etc.) or by combining several units, and contributes to the alleviation of congestion in each regional metropolitan area.
――The 817 series 0s, which was active on the Fukuhoku Yutaka Line, was active from October 2001 when the electrification started until around 2007 when it was replaced by the 817 series 1000s.
