--This is a guide to the new 1/72 scale R-77 / AA12 Adder air-to-air missile from the Greek gas patch model.
――These are 3D printer upgrade parts that have delicate details that are difficult to reproduce by injection and do not impair the sense of scale (all the products in the guide are unpainted assembly kits).
--R-77 is a Russian-made active radar-guided medium-range air-to-air missile with NATO code name AA-12 Adder (adder: pit viper).
--The R-77 is designed and manufactured by the Russian Wienpel Chemical Manufacturing Union, and is an autonomous guided missile that uses the radar radiation of the missile itself, similar to the AIM-120.
――Development began in 1982, but since the components were made in Ukraine, it was released at the Moscow Air Show in 1992 after the collapse of the Soviet Union, but production was discontinued after a small number were produced.
――After resuming production, countries such as India and China decided to adopt and purchase R-77 and started to introduce it, but the Russian Air Force did not introduce it for a long time and it was an improved version in 2009.
