[About the actual car]
- Having brought 4WD technology to the world of rallying and demonstrated its overwhelming power, Audi's next goal was to take 4WD to circuit racing.
- The machine, developed based on the A4 Quattro four-door sedan, debuted in Class 2 touring car races in 1995. The following year, in 1996, it also competed in the British BTCC.
- The engine was a 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder, mounted longitudinally, that produced over 300 horsepower. Power was sent to all four wheels via a 6-speed sequential gearbox in a quattro system.
- The 4WD A4 won the 1996 BTCC championship despite being given a 100kg weight handicap compared to the 2WD machines.
- Furthermore, in 1999 the car won the German Super Touring Cup, proving the effectiveness of 4WD even in races on paved circuit courses.

- This is a plastic model assembly kit that reproduces the Audi A4 Quattro that Audi entered in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) in 1996.
- This kit includes decals that reproduce the markings of the Abt Sportsline team's machine that won the German Super Touring Cup in 1999.
- Reproduce the yellow-based coloring sponsored by Hasseroder, a beer brand different from the original kit.
