The Tokyo Monorail is a straddle-type monorail that began operation in 1964 (Showa 39) as an access route from Monorail Hamamatsucho to (old) Haneda Airport.
The 1000 series was introduced in July 1989 (Heisei 1).
The train is fitted with a wide range of the latest technology, including large side windows, tinted window glass, ATC and monitoring systems, and is in service in a fixed six-car formation.
When it was first introduced it had a white base with a red stripe, but in December 2000 it was changed to a new color scheme of white base with blue, red and orange.
Since 2015, a new paint scheme has been introduced with a white base and green, blue, or light blue accents around the doors.

[Product Features]
It uses a one-piece body that is easy to assemble.
The body is painted white with printed stripes. The roof is painted white and the cooler is painted silver.
Decals (newly produced) are included. Includes vehicle number and company emblem.
The underfloor cover is molded gray.
The seats and driver's seat partition are reproduced using special parts.
The dolly is reproduced with a special part for display. It is not compatible with running.
The lights are not lit, the light covers are made of clear parts, and the light case frame is printed in silver.
A single-track straight rail the length of eight cars and bridge piers are included for display purposes.
