Vertex usually puts out limited quantities of their figures (as evidenced by the $400
Evangelion productions) and therefore will likely sell out before hitting the bargain
bin. You can choose to wait if you're not serious about buying this. But if you are,
then you're just wasting your opportunity to secure one before it sells out.
