- The 21st volume of the [RM Re-Library] series is a combination of RM Library volumes 73 and 74, [Ueda Maruko Electric Railway (Part 1 and Part 2)] (written by Michiichi Miyata and Hisashi Morokawa).
- Ueda Maruko Electric Railway opened in 1918 (Taisho 7) as a steam railway connecting Maruko Town and Shinetsu Oya, and later expanded to Ueda Higashi [Maruko Electric Railway] and Ueda in 1921 (Taisho 10). In 1943, the Ueda Electric Railway started running as a hot spring electric railway from Miyoshi Town to Aoki Village and from Uedawara to Shinano Bessho (currently Bessho Onsen), and later opened the entire line to Shinano Ueda, Yoyo, Sanada, etc. This is the company name created by the merger in 1948.
