[About a 485 system JNR special express color]
- Special express type 交直流電車 is the vehicles which appeared in the blank paper diagram revision on October 1, 1968 485 system.
- It became 50 Hz of exchange, and 3 power-supply type type corresponding to 60 Hz to the 481 systems till then and 483 systems about the traction transformer which an electric motor coach carries, and became the direct current 1500V and a train which can run anywhere the electrified section of the JNR old railroad line (exchange 20000 V.50Hz and 60 Hz) by this.
