[Product introduction]
- Yo 3500 is an all-steel, two-axle caboose, of which 1,345 were manufactured since 1950.
- There are new vehicles and vehicles modified from Toki 900, and the appearance also differs depending on the year of manufacture, making this a very diverse model.
- Originally, the structure had a single-stage link undercarriage designed for operation at 75km/h, but in the 1960s, as freight train speeds increased, many cars were converted to two-stage links and incorporated into the Yo 5000 series in order to be able to operate at 85km/h.
- On the other hand, in Hokkaido and Shikoku, the speed of freight trains is low, so they continued to be used as Yo 3500.
- A raised chimney was seen on the roof of the Yo3500 in Hokkaido.
- The product will be reproduced without the identification band of the coal stove era and with the black wooden window frame.
- This caboose is ideal for recreating the freight trains seen in Hokkaido around 1975, and is an indispensable part of the rear of long coal-transporting trains operated by Seki 3000 locomotives.
