- Commercialization of the EF65-2089 machine featuring a fluorescent lamp cover on the side of the car body

[Outline of actual vehicle]
- In 2000 series of EF 65 type, in order to distinguish the presence or absence of security equipment from passenger company owning machine from 2012 Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport ministry ordinance will be added to the original car number plus 1000 did.
