-The 185 series 0-th generation can reproduce the A formation (10 stations) and C formation (5 stations) of Tamachi train area by combining with other sets and single items. Even after becoming JR, it was in this form until the end of the 1990s.
-The 185 series departing and arriving at Tokyo Station (some Shinjuku Station) is a combination of 10 stations, 7 stations, and 5 stations, and trains for 15, 12, 10, and 7 vehicles.
-In principle, the independent operation of a 5-car train is only west of Atami.
* For a period of time, it may have been used on regular trains between Hiratsuka and Atami for a while.
