――In 2020, Kiha 40-2021 and Kiha 40-2028 were introduced from JR East, and remodeling to Kominato Railway specifications was carried out, such as adding the [KTK] logo mark representing Kominato Railway and various markings.
--Kiha 40-2021 was changed to Kominato Railway color to match Kiha 200 type and changed to [Kiha 40-1], and Kiha 40-2028 left the Tohoku area headquarters which was the color before transfer [Kiha] It was renumbered to 40-2].
――The same system started operation as a temporary express [Satoyama] in April 2021, and is currently active with the Kiha 200 type.
