[Actual vehicle guide]
――The Chikuhou Main Line is a line that connects Wakamatsu to Harada via Nōgata.
――Since the same line is close to metropolitan areas such as Kokura, ordinary trains by passenger cars have been operating until 2001 electrification, and this was the last ordinary passenger train on the JR line.
--The 50 series used on the same line was remodeled for cooling in the 1990s, a part of the side window was blocked, and the ventilator was removed in most of the vehicles in later years.
--The DD51 type belonging to JR Freight was in charge of towing the passenger train on the same line, but the DD51-800 type without SG was also used because the cooling remodeled 50 series did not require SG for winter heating.
