-The 383 series is a pendulum-type limited express vehicle of JR Tokai that appeared in 1994 (1994), developed as a replacement for the 381 series, to improve the image of the limited express [Shinano] in preparation for the Nagano Olympics.
-A variety of formations are operated by combining 6-car, 4-car, and 2-car formations, such as the streamlined Nagano head car Kuro 383 following the 381 series [Panorama Shinano] and other penetrating lead cars. .
- It runs through the Chuo Main Line, Shinonoi Line, and Shinetsu Main Line, connecting Nagoya, Shiojiri, Matsumoto, and Nagano.

-Various formations can be reproduced depending on the combination, and the variations can be further expanded by combining with the power released from the hobby center.
- Equipped with KATO's unique pendulum mechanism, enjoy the driving scenes of the Chuo Main Line and Shinonoi Line.
