- The Kiha 187-10 series is a diesel express train that was introduced by JR West in 2003.
- Improvements have been made to the previously released 0-series model, such as the addition of an air conditioner.
- Along with the 0th generation, they are active on the Super Oki and Super Matsukaze.
- As of September 2023, only the No. 2 Super Matsukaze operates between Yonago and Tottori with the standard 4-car configuration.
- In later years, a wiper cover was added to the top of the front through door window.
