Product Description

- Battleship Conte di Cavour is a dreadnought battleship built by the Royal Italian Navy during World War I.
- When commissioned in 1915, the total length was 176.9 m and the displacement was 25,086 tons (in stock).
- During modernization from 1933 to 1937, the bow was extended by approximately 10m to a total length of 186.39m, and the engine was modified from 20 water tubes/3 turbines to 8 sintered water tubes/2 geared turbines. , maximum speed increased from 21.5 knots to 28 knots, despite an increase in displacement to 29,100 tons (in stock).
- Also, the armament after modification is 2 x 32cm triple guns + 2 x 32cm twin guns, 6 x 12cm twin rapid-fire guns, 4 x 100mm twin high-angle guns, 4 x 37mm twin machine guns, and 6 x 13.2mm twin machine guns.
- In the early stages of World War II, the ship exchanged fire with the British fleet, but in 1940, it was severely damaged and hit the bottom by the British fleet's air raid on Tarrant, and was salvaged the following year.
- The ship was scheduled to be repaired in the port of Trieste, but due to the surrender of the Kingdom of Italy in 1943, it was taken over by the German military after the Armistice.
- Conte di Cavour was attacked by US military aircraft in 1945, capsized and sank, and was abandoned, and dismantled in 1948 after the war.
