[Actual vehicle]
- Kiha 11 is a general-purpose diesel train introduced by JR Tokai in 1988 for non-electrified routes.
- The vehicle body is made of 18 meter class steel with two doors on each side, designed for one-man operation, and has a Shonan-colored belt wrapped around an ivory background.
- A 330PS engine is used for power, and combined with the lightweight body, it has achieved a significant performance improvement compared to the previous model.
- The interior of the car uses semi-cross seats and has a color scheme based on the 211 series 5000 series manufactured at the same time.
- There are four series classifications: warm region model 0 series, cold region model series 100 series, Tokai Kotsu Business owned series 200 series, and stainless steel body with toilets 300 series.
- Of the 100 series, of which 23 cars were manufactured, 17 were assigned to the Mino-Ota vehicle area and were used on the Takayama Main Line and the Ota Line.
- The rearview mirror has a distinctive appearance, the driver's side is covered with a snow cover, and the passenger's side is installed under the front window.
- The ward's Kiha 11 was replaced by its successors, the Kiha 25 and Kiha 75, and its operation ended in March 2015.
