- A large dinosaur that lived in southern Mongolia during the Late Cretaceous period.
- In 1965, a huge forelimb measuring 2.4m in length was discovered in the Gobi Desert. However, only a few fragments of bones other than the forelimb remained, and its appearance remained a mystery for nearly half a century.
- In recent years, a nearly complete skeletal fossil has been discovered, revealing its appearance.
- It had a horny beak on its 1m-long head, and a large number of gastroliths, fish spines and scales have been discovered near its abdomen, suggesting that it was an omnivorous animal.
- The pelvis is broad and the hind legs are short and thick.
- This structure prioritized stability over runnability, and was thought to have been suitable for walking through marshes.
- It has a large sail-like protrusion on its back, the purpose of which is currently unknown.
