──The second revival color of the E657 series! Introducing the new `Red` color with a motif of the plum blossoms of Kairakuen!

[Product introduction]
- The E657 series is the flagship express train on the Joban Line, introduced in 2011 as an AC/DC express train for the Joban Line.
- In conjunction with the Ibaraki Destination Campaign in 2023, the E657 series has been repainted in a style reminiscent of the old E653 series [Fresh Hitachi], attracting attention not only from people living along the line but also from many railway fans.
- The actual train is available in five different colors, and the second in the KATO lineup will be the red K12 train.
- This vehicle is ideal for running alongside other vehicles in service at JR East, and for addition to a collection of the five colors currently being developed.

[Product Features]
- K12 train set belonging to Katsuta Vehicle Center is now available
- The E653 series, with its red plum motif, reproduces the revival paint scheme of Scarlet Blossom, which is inspired by the fresh Hitachi (red).
- Different symbol marks for each train formation (red: plum and Kobuntei) are reproduced
- Reproduces the insulators and high-voltage equipment around the pantograph, which are unique to AC/DC trains, as well as the train radio antenna and WiMAX antenna on the roof
- Slotless motor provides smooth and quiet running
- The intermediate coupling is equipped with a body-mounted KATO close-coupled coupler and a damper between the cars as standard.
- Underfloor equipment, bogies, inter-car dampers, and leading car dummy couplers are grey
- The front and side windows are tinted green, just like the real car.
