- The BA-64 is a four-wheel drive light armored car with an armored body on a GAZ-64 or GAZ-67 chassis.
- This vehicle was used by the Soviet Army from 1942 until the early 1960s for reconnaissance and liaison missions.
- The earliest BA-64 was an open-top model based on the GAZ-64 and was adopted in 1942.
- The BA-64B, based on the GAZ-67B but fitted with a small turret, remained in production until 1946.
- After the war, some BA-64Bs were transferred to the East German police, and also served in North Korea, China and Yugoslavia.
