[About the actual boat]
River patrol boats were developed and deployed for the purpose of patrolling and providing security on rivers large enough for ships to navigate.
It is called Patrol Boat River and is known by its acronym PBR or Pibar.
During the Vietnam War, the US Navy deployed it in battles along the Mekong River, making full use of its high speed and heavy armament.
The Mk.II is 32 feet long and can carry 8.9 tons of water per hull. The ship's bottom is flat and shallow, designed for use in rivers.
It was equipped with two diesel engines producing 180 horsepower, which drove water pump jets to a speed of 52.8 km/h.
Armament consisted of twin 12.7mm Browning machine guns in the front and a single 12.7mm Browning machine gun in the rear, as well as the option of being fitted with a 7.62mm M60 machine gun and a 40mm Mk.18 grenade launcher.

[About the model]
This is a 1/72 scale plastic model assembly kit that reproduces the PBR, a US Navy river patrol boat that was active in the Vietnam War.
This model is based on the Mk.II type, which is 32 feet long.
The hull is a single piece and accurately reproduces the shallow draft and flat bottom shape.
The cockpit on the upper part of the hull and the interior of the deck, as well as the waterproof sheet and frame covering the top surface, are all 3D printed parts, expressing a delicate and realistic texture.
In addition, the M2 caliber 50 12.7mm Browning machine gun mounted on a tripod-type gun mount is fitted with an etched shield.
The twin M2 caliber 50 guns at the front of the hull are equipped with 3D printed shield gun tabs.
In addition, the M18 grenade launcher and M60 machine gun are also recreated in precise mechanical detail using 3D printed parts.
The finished overall length is approximately 136mm, so military land models can enjoy a unique finish to the pive.
