[Product Introduction]
The Shinano Railway SR1 series is the railway's first new model vehicle, operated by the Shinano Railway between Karuizawa and Myoko-Kogen (the section between Shinonoi and Nagano is under the jurisdiction of JR East).
It was introduced based on the E129 series, which has a proven track record in snowfall in the Niigata area.
The railway, which was established in conjunction with the construction of the Nagano-Hokuriku Shinkansen, has been operating the 115 series transferred from JR since its opening in 1997, but in 2020 it introduced the newly manufactured SR1 series to replace the 115 series.
Three liner carriages were introduced at first, followed the following year by general-use carriages, with four 200-series carriages and three 300-series carriages without defrosting pantographs.
From the SR1 series currently in service on the Shinano Railway comes the 200 series equipped with two pantographs.
It is a compact two-car train and is recommended for operation on small layouts.
You can also enjoy a four-car formation made up of two trains coupled together, as seen in the real thing.

The two thin belts around the waist, the gold belt designed on the side of the driver's seat, and the Shinano Railway logo are realistically reproduced.
Headlights/taillights and front display lights. White LEDs used.
Each car uses a body-mounted close-coupled coupler without a hook for the intermediate coupling. The leading car is equipped with a dummy coupler as standard, and a replacement coupling coupler is included.
The front display is already installed with [One-man Nagano]. Replacement destination display is included ([One-man Karuizawa], plain x 2 cars each).
The destination display on the side is printed in black. Destination display sticker included
The use of a slotless motor provides smooth and quiet running. Equipped with one traction tire.
