[Actual vehicle guide]
- In 1959 (Showa 34), it is a car that appeared as a train only for Japan's first school trip. Basic design, equipment, performance, etc. were common with Tokai type 153 series, but for cost reduction, the trolley was changed to DT 21 of the coil spring, the ventilator was also a glove type and the skirt of the leading car was also omitted. The interior of the car was a box seat of three people and two passengers to secure the number of seats, and the customer door was 700 mm wide so as not to create a door pocket window. The roof became a low roof for all models, like putting in the central line as a temporary train other than a school trip.
