[Actual vehicle guide]
-The Kiha 58 series was developed for the purpose of improving the service of excellent trains running in non-electrified areas, and appeared in 1961.
-The same system has adopted a number of new innovations such as a body similar to the 153 series train, a highly comfortable interior layout, and a horizontal DMH17H engine with excellent maintainability, and a total of about 1800 cars of the group have been manufactured all over the country I was active.
