――The 930 model, which has been on sale since 1974, was very popular, but as the number of customers increased, new requests increased and it became necessary to update it.
--First, Porsche fed back the 4WD technology acquired in 959 to 964. The floor center is raised to allow the propeller shaft to pass through, but the clever design didn't bother the appearance. In addition, by installing power steering and ABS, more modern handling has been obtained.
――In 1992, the [Carrera RS], which was made lighter based on the two-wheel drive model [Carrera 2], was released. The RS grade is the revival since the 1973 911 Carrera RS 2.7, known as the [Nanasan Carrera].
--For weight reduction, the rear seats, air conditioner, and stereo have been abolished, and the wheels are equipped with magnesium wheels designed by Cup Car. The suspension was basically the same as the cup car, and the spring rate was lowered to make it a public road specification. The height of the car has been lowered by 40mm, so it looks very different from the standard Carrera 2.
