Product Description

--Caldwell was put into service in 1942 as the 18th Benson-class ship and was immediately deployed on the Pacific front.
-Similar to Benson, it has a chimney with a square cross section, but the rear torpedo launcher and the third turret have been removed, and anti-aircraft armament has been strengthened.
--Coldwell was damaged by a special attack off the coast of Leyte Gulf in December 1944, and survived the war in June of the following year while being touched by lightning in Brunei Bay.
