── New 201 series that ran on the bay side

- Series 201 is a commuter train that appeared in 1979.
- For the first time in Japan National Railways, we have adopted an energy-saving and maintenance-saving armature chopper control.

[Actual vehicle guide]
- Series 201 is a commuter train that appeared in 1979.
- Armature chopper control was adopted for the first time as JNR.
- The design of the front part has been revamped from the previous vehicle, and a black steel panel is used around the front window as an accent.
- Transferred to the Keiyo Line for the purpose of replacing the 103 series from the Chuo/Sobu Local Line and started operation in August 2000.
- Of the 7 trains that initially moved in, 4 trains were equipped with automatic uncoupling devices and were used for splitting and merging operations.
- In 2007, a 10-car through train was transferred from the Chuo Line to supplement the two 205 series trains that were transferred to the Musashino Line and Saikyo Line.
- Retired in 2011, replaced by the E233 series.
