[About the Tadami Line]
- The Tadami Line is a 135.2km railway line that connects Aizuwakamatsu Station in Fukushima Prefecture with Koide Station in Niigata Prefecture.
-Although it was known as one of the most scenic and secluded routes in Japan, due to the damage caused by the heavy rains in Niigata and Fukushima in 2011, the section between Koide and Aizusakashita was suspended.
- After that, some sections were restored, and operation was resumed as a line connecting Aizuwakamatsu - Aizukawaguchi and Tadami - Koide, and on October 1, 2022, 11 years later, the section was closed. The section between Aizukawaguchi and Tadami, which had been in the past, was also restored, and the entire line resumed operation.
-The Kiha 40 series began operation on the Tadami Line around 1980 and was active for nearly 40 years until it was retired in 2020.

[Actual vehicle guide: About Kiha 40 type 581]
-Kiha 40 type 581 was newly placed in the Koriyama locomotive depot at that time in 1980, and started to be active on the routes around Koriyama area including the Tadami line.
-In the 1990s, the Kiha 110 series appeared, and while the Kiha 40 series in the Koriyama area was replaced and transferred to other areas, the same car remained active on the Tadami Line.
- Of the Kiha 40 series that were active on the Tadami Line from around 2015, the non-air-conditioned vehicles were replaced with the same series that had been remodeled for cooling, which became surplus in other areas, and the 581 was retired in 2016.

[Actual vehicle guide: About Kiha 48 type 551]
-Kiha 48 type 551 was newly placed in the Koriyama locomotive depot at that time in 1981, and started to be active on the routes around Koriyama area including the Tadami line.
-The same type of Kiha 48, which has been active on the Tadami Line since around 2008, has been converted to Resort Minori and replaced with the Kiha 40 that moved from other areas, and has been active as the last Kiha 48 on the Tadami Line. Did
- After that, in 2013, I was transferred to the Niitsu Transportation District, but the purpose was to operate the severed Tadami Line on the Koide side, and I will continue to operate the Tadami Line Tadami until I retire in 2015. ~ I was active in Koide
