- New Jersey is the second Iowa-class battleship.
- When the ship was laid down in 1940 during World War II, it fought in the Pacific theater, then participated in the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Lebanese Civil War, etc., and in 1981 it was equipped with missiles such as Tomahawk and Harpoon. It was refurbished into a battleship and continued to be operated for about half a century until it was removed from the register in 1995.
- Now open to the public as a museum in Camden, New Jersey.
