──Sakurajima/Takachiho Express, known as a long-run combined express from Tokyo

- Express [Sakurajima/Takachiho] is a long-distance train that operated between Tokyo and Nishikagoshima in the 1970s.
- The Tokyo-Moji section was connected, and the Moji-Nishikagoshima section was divided into Sakurajima via the Kagoshima Main Line and Takachiho via the Nippo Main Line.
- This train was discontinued when the Sanyo Shinkansen opened to Hakata due to the timetable revision in March 1975.
