[About the actual vehicle]
- During World War II, technologies such as various mechanical weapons and electronic devices evolved and developed at a tremendous pace.
- Among various technologies, the development of electronic devices such as radar cannot be overlooked.
- Planes and ships have been equipped with radar, dramatically increasing their ability to search for enemies and fight at night.
- Even in land combat, infrared night vision equipment was developed and put into action in order to improve night combat capabilities towards the end of World War II.
- Development began in Germany in 1936 by AEG and Zeiss, and a prototype was completed in 1939.
- In 1942, a unit was created that combined the ZG1221 viewer and an infrared headlamp.
- These units were put into practical use on the Panther tank. It is known as the world's first practical night vision device.
- Furthermore, in 1945, Germany developed and used a night vision device called ZG1229 Vampir for infantry use.

[About the model]
- The model is a 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit that reproduces the early production model of the Panther G, a German main battle tank of World War II.
- This kit includes parts for ZG1221 infrared night vision device. Its shape and details are carefully modeled.
- Three sets are available, and each can be installed in each position in front of the commander's cupola of the turret, main gun mantlet, and driver hatch.
- Photo-etched parts are included for the mounting base of the night vision device that is attached to the mantlet and the front of the vehicle body.
- The car body is modeled after the early production type of Panther G type.
- Reproduces the Italian front specifications of the German Wehrmacht's 26th Panzer Regiment.
- The torsion bar suspension is also accurately reproduced at the bottom of the car body using a slide mold.
- The track uses a realistically assembled magic track.
- The shape of the vehicle body and turret are accurate, and the additional armor on the roof of the turret and the heads of its mounting bolts are reproduced with photo-etched parts. Expresses delicate details.
- Also, the gun barrel is made of aluminum parts, and the muzzle brake is made of 3D printed parts.
