──The former blue general special express [Sakura] is now a colored economy kit

- The Suha 44 series limited express [Sakura] is a special express train that was set up as a relief special train for the limited express [Tsubame] and [Hato] that operated between Tokyo and Osaka from April to May 1951.
- Initially, the train consisted of a third-class car and a dining car, but there were also times when second-class cars and first-class observation cars were added.
- Operation resumed in March 1955, and with the electrification of the entire Tokaido Main Line in 1956, the car body color was changed from the previous grape color No. 1 to light green No. 5, and the long formation resembled the snake Aodaisho. Because of this color, it was affectionately known as ``Blue General Color''.
- In 1957, it was upgraded to a non-regular train, and was operated as a special train with increased frequency at times of high passenger numbers until the timetable was revised in 1958.
