[About the actual vehicle]
- The Catalina was introduced in 1950 under the Pontiac brand of American car manufacturer General Motors and was sold until 1981.
- The 1962 model belongs to the second generation model that was introduced in 1961, and the second generation was produced until 1964.
- Starting in 1962, the wheelbase was increased by 1 inch to 120 inches.
- Body types include 2-door hardtop, convertible, sedan, 4-door hardtop, sedan, and station wagon.
- The engine is basically a 6.4 liter V8 cylinder, but from the latter half of 1961 a 6.9 liter type was also available as a dealer option.
- Also, the styling features a distinctive split grille.
- In the 1960s, the Pontiac Catalina gained the support of many users, with sales following the Chevrolet Impala and Ford Galaxy.
- It also gained popularity as a base vehicle for American motor sports such as drag racing, and was active on many circuits.

- The model is a 1/25 scale plastic model assembly kit that reproduces the 1962 Pontiac Catalina, a full-size car.

- The clean and stylish body with the stretchy hard top unique to full-size cars from the 1960s has been recreated with plenty of atmosphere.
- The kit is a 3-in-1 kit that can be assembled by selecting from three types: normal stock specification, custom specification, and drag race specification.
- Lightweight grill, 8-lug foil, and center cap are set with a new mold.
- Produces an even sharper finish.
- The kit is fully detailed, including the engine.
- A V-type 8-cylinder engine is modeled under the hood, and I'm looking forward to trying out the details such as wiring and piping.
