- During World War II, French SNCAC produced the Siebel Si204A by order of the German military.
- After the war, SNCAC produced approximately 350 improved Si204D as NC.701.
- The French military operated this aircraft until 1963, and a small number were exported to Poland and Switzerland.
- The kit comes with a new 3-blade propeller, which is a major external feature of NC.701.
