[Product introduction]
- The E217 series was introduced in 1994 as a vehicle for the Yokosuka-Sobu Rapid Line.
- Until then, three-door commuter trains were the norm, but the E217 series, like the 209 series that appeared at the same time, features a four-door lightweight stainless steel body, and the design of the high driver's cab with a crushable zone in the leading car was carried over to the E231-1000 series, E233 series, and E235 series that appeared later.
- When the equipment was updated in 2008, the color scheme of the stripes was changed and the yaw dampers on the bogies of the Green Cars were subsequently removed. These trains are still in service today along with their successors, the E235 series 1000 series.

- This product will be released in three sets: two sets that make up the basic formation and one set that consists of an additional formation.
- The bogies of the Green Cars, from which the yaw dampers have been removed, and the stroller markings are reproduced.
- Additionally, the blue and cream stripes will be changed to a color tone closer to the actual vehicle.

[Product Features]
- Kamakura Vehicle Center's Y-35 train (basic and additional train) and Y-131 train (additional train) are commercialized
- Reproduces the pillar arrangement of the side windows, which differs from existing products due to the year of manufacture.
- The body stripe color is expressed in an image closer to the actual vehicle.
- Expresses the exterior finish using different materials, such as the painted steel body of the front car and the stainless steel of the car body
- Reproduce the reinforced skirt of the leading car
- The bogie of the Green Car represents the form with the yaw damper removed.
- Wheelchair and stroller marks on the front car are reproduced
- The intermediate coupling section is equipped with a body-mounted KATO close-coupled coupler (with hook) as standard.
- The front coupling of the 4th and 1st cars uses a KATO close-coupled coupler (without hooks), and includes an electric coupler (1 stage) (basic set and 4-car additional train set)
- Slotless motor provides smooth and quiet running
- Destination display stickers are included. The destination display on the side is a sticker that matches the appearance of the LED display.
- Head/tail lights, front direction sign, and train number display
