- The year after the completion of Kurobe Dam, on August 1, 1964 (Showa 39), the KEPCO Tunnel Trolley Bus began operation, marking the 60th anniversary of its launch.
- In 2019, the trolley bus was converted into an electric bus and continues to transport visitors to the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, one of Japan's most famous mountain tourist routes.
- In April 2024, a specially designed wrapped electric bus will begin operating to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the bus service's launch.
- Car No. 1009, which features a specially designed wrapping, will be produced as part of The Bus Collection.

[Actual vehicle guide]
- The Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route is one of Japan's leading mountain tourism routes, running through the Northern Alps at an altitude of 3,000m.
- The Kanden Tunnel, which runs from Ogizawa Station on the Nagano side to Kurobe Dam Station across the border with Toyama Prefecture, began operating trolley buses on August 1, 1964, and has operated electric buses since 2019.
- In April 2024, a specially designed wrapped electric bus will begin operation to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the bus service's launch. It is modeled after the specially designed No. 1009 bus.
