- Commissioned into the Royal Navy in 1917, then loaned to the Royal Australian Navy in 1933.
- During World War II, the ship was mainly active in the Mediterranean Sea, before being deployed to the Pacific front, where it fought against the Japanese Navy.
- The standard displacement was 1,090 tons, the overall length was 312 feet, and the main battery was equipped with 4-inch guns and triple 21-inch torpedo tubes.
