- The IIIF was a reconnaissance/daytime bomber aircraft designed and built by the British Fairey company.
- The prototype N.10 first flew in 1917, and after a small number of IIIA/B/C models were produced, an improved IIID was developed, and the definitive IIIF first flew in 1926.
- Over 600 were produced during the interwar period, making it the second most commonly used aircraft in British service after the Hawker Hart.
- The Royal Air Force operated many of these aircraft in its colonies in North Africa and the Middle East, and the Fleet Air Arm used them as carrier-based aircraft on aircraft carriers, battleships, and cruisers until the mid-1930s.
- It was then used as a target tug until 1941.
