[About Great Saurus]
- In the late 1970s, known as the third monster boom, Popy [Greatsaurus Series] [Kingsaurus Series] (sold from 1978 to 1981) appeared. These were collectible toys from [Poppy], a group company of Bandai.
- The biggest feature of the series is the molded foot prints on both feet of each character. This led to the series being called the "foot print series."
- It was developed in the Ultra Monster Series and the Toho Monster Series.

- At the time, the Great Saurus series consisted of only selected characters from the King Saurus series in giant size. The Great Saurus Godzilla was later remodeled into lamps and telephone receivers, and lined up in fancy shops.

- As part of the Godzilla 70th anniversary project, the historic Godzilla soft vinyl figure [Great Saurus Godzilla] has been faithfully reproduced and reprinted with a new mold. The first release will be available in two color versions.
