- The 2000GT, which was a successor to the previous S54 series, had its engine changed to Nissan's L20 type, evolving into a more sophisticated GT car.
- In 1971, the 2000GT-X, equipped with the same twin-carb engine as the Fairlady Z, was released and maintained immense popularity.
- Its fame has not diminished to this day, and it has become a popular car worldwide, commonly known as Hakosuka.
