- The 1/72 series, which was released in 2019 with a completely new design/new mold, is the LAV of the Headquarters Management Company/Information Platoon.

- The body is a one-piece part with the front, sides and top made using a slide mould.
- The front lights are reproduced with separate transparent parts.
- The lens surface of the rear lights is made as a separate transparent part.
-The glass is a separate part that is attached to the outside.
The rear of the vehicle is a separate part, and by drilling holes in the model, you can choose whether or not to equip additional parts.
- The difference between the anti-slip processed/unprocessed parts of the body surface is expressed through intricate surface engraving.

- The interior of the vehicle is also reproduced using parts.
-The seat (back) is a separate part.
The floor and interior are separate parts to reduce the need to paint different parts when painting.
-Gun mount hatch can be displayed open or closed.
- The gun mount is designed to be able to rotate 360 degrees even after completion.
-Includes a 5.56mm MINIMI machine gun and shield parts for mounting on the gun rack.

-The engine is a separate part and can be selected to be mounted on or off the vehicle.
- The left and right front mirrors are available as one-piece parts that include both the rear/under mirrors and arms.
- The main undercarriage is made up of three parts, reproducing the flat yet characteristic uneven shape.
- The suspension is made into a separate part so that the design is expressed without omissions.
- The towing hook is a separate part. It is possible to recreate the early model without the towing hook.

[Features and specifications unique to this product]
- Special parts are provided to recreate the shape of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force's Intelligence Platoon.

- Bulletproof reinforced glass: Comes with window frames/window parts with reinforced side and back glass.

- Additional radio mast/antenna: Includes an additional antenna mast and antenna installed above the front door on the right side of the vehicle.
-Standard radio mast/antenna: Only the antenna masts on the left and right rear of the vehicle are included with antenna-mounted parts.

-Ceiling rack: Comes with rack parts that are only equipped on some vehicles in the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force.

- Outdoor radio: A conventional type radio that is installed inside the vehicle is included.
- Wide-area multipurpose radio: Comes with a new type of digital radio currently being updated.

-The included decals are exclusive to the reconnaissance type.
- Includes notations for a wide range of units, including the 1st to 15th Reconnaissance Corps, Armored Training Regiment/Reconnaissance Corps, and the 4th Reconnaissance Fighter Battalion.
- The 11th, 13th, 14th and 15th Reconnaissance Squadrons feature unit markings.
- The vehicle numbers are real and are already combined with the affiliation notation, so they can be affixed without the need for research.
-Vehicle numbers include rose numbers and vehicle nameplates.
- Includes information boards displayed during vehicle exhibitions and the regimental markings of the Armored Training Regiment.

-In addition to the assembly diagram, the assembly instructions come with a special manual that contains information and explanations about the LAV belonging to the reconnaissance unit.

- Includes detailed instructions on how to use decals and camouflage paint patterns, as well as an explanation of the shape of the vehicle's fine details.
