The Panzerkampfwagen 38(t) was a light tank developed and manufactured by the Czech company Praga before World War II.
In the early stages of WWII, when the German army was dominated by Panzer I and Panzer II tanks, this vehicle was a reliable and excellent vehicle. Equipped with a powerful long-barreled 37 mm tank gun, it was a substitute for the Panzer III tanks, the numbers of which were still scarce, and it is no exaggeration to say that it was one of the main vehicles.
The E/F models had 50mm of armor on the front of the hull and turret, and 30mm on the sides.
Along with this, the design of the front armor of the fighting compartment, which was previously stepped, has been changed to a single straight plate.
As the reinforcement of the frontal armor has made the vehicle nose-heavy, the number of leaf springs in the front suspension has been increased to 15.
The E/F types were almost identical in specifications, but the latter had an armored box containing smoke grenades added to the rear of the vehicle as standard, and the muffler was positioned higher.
275 Ausf. E were produced between November 1940 and May 1941, and 250 Ausf. F were produced between May and October 1941.
The Panzerbefehlswagen 38(t) command tank was fitted with a radio and a large frame antenna on the engine deck.
With the addition of a radio, the hull machine gun was eliminated and this area was covered with a disc-shaped armor plate.
They are produced based on various tank-type models.
