PECO is a British model railway manufacturer founded in 1946.
In addition to producing and selling railway tracks of various gauges, the company also manufactures models of freight cars and steam locomotives.
We also manufacture and sell structure kits that are useful for layouts.
This model is a 1/76 scale reproduction of the OO-9, a bogie car still in service on the Ffestiniog Railway today.
The vehicle was called a Bowsider because of its tumblehome sides.
The model, car number 19, is a long type manufactured in 1879, with a green body and the front and rear panels painted red.
The colour scheme became known as Colonel Stevens's colours, after Colonel Stevens, General Manager of the Ffestiniog Railway from 1925 to 1931.
The model accurately reproduces not only the shape and details, but also the coloring of Colonel Stephen's colors.
This recreates the appearance of the window frames painted in a different color in the mid-1930s.
