[About the actual machine]
The Japan Air Self-Defense Force has begun deploying the F-35A Lightning II as a successor to the F-4 and F-15 fighter jets.
It is a fifth-generation multirole fighter jet developed internationally, led by Lockheed Martin of the United States.
This single aircraft was designed to be capable of a variety of missions not only for the Air Force, but also for the Navy and Marine Corps.
While they share the same basics, they have different specifications depending on how they are operated.
The conventional takeoff and landing type F-35A was developed as an aircraft for the Air Force.
The aircraft is equipped with a single Pratt & Whitney F135 turbofan engine.
The aircraft has a highly stealthy shape and is equipped with a weapon bay, within which missiles and other armaments can be stored.
Additionally, there are six hardpoints under the wings.
It went into operation in 2016, and was deployed and put into operation by the Japan Air Self-Defense Force in 2018, where it serves as the latest main fighter aircraft.

[About the model]
The model is a 1/72 scale plastic model assembly kit that reproduces the F-35A Lightning II, newly deployed and put into operation by the Japan Air Self-Defense Force.
The kit uses parts made by Italeri of Italy.
This kit features select markings from the commemorative painted aircraft produced to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the 302nd Squadron, which was unveiled at the Misawa Air Base Air Show held on September 8, 2024.
Don't miss the large illustration of a white-tailed eagle painted on the vertical stabilizer.
Additionally, this kit comes with a decal set to recreate the white-tailed eagle mark in full color, which was later produced.
You can enjoy the colorful markings that are available for a limited time on the stealth aircraft.
