This is a 1/48 scale plastic model assembly kit that reproduces the G.91, an Italian jet fighter that was active from the 1960s to the 1990s.

[About the actual machine]
The G.91 is a light fighter-bomber developed for use in the air forces of NATO countries.
Developed by Fiat Aviazione in Italy, the prototype made its first successful flight in 1956.
It entered service with the Italian Air Force in 1961, and the West German Air Force in 1962.
The aircraft is powered by a single Bristol Siddeley Orpheus 803 turbojet engine, giving it a maximum speed of 1075km/h.
The armament consisted of four 12.7mm M3 Browning machine guns, while the G.91R/3 deployed by the Luftwaffe was equipped with two 30mm DEFA cannons.
In addition, there are four hardpoints under the wings that can carry a variety of weapons, including missiles and bombs.
By 1977, over 700 had been produced and were in service in Italy, Germany and Portugal.
