This is a plastic model assembly kit that reproduces the F-15J Eagle operated by the Japan Air Self-Defense Force in 1/72 scale.

[About the actual machine]
The flagship aircraft, the F-15J Eagle, is based on the U.S. Air Force's F-15C, which first entered combat service in 1974, but is equipped with the Japan Air Self-Defense Force's own unique tactical electronic warfare system, J/TEWS, as well as a similarly unique data link system.
Deployment of the aircraft began in 1982, and it continues to play a key role in Japan's air defense today.
In 1985, the 204th Squadron upgraded from its previous F-104J aircraft to the F-15J.
To this day, they operate F-15Js and play an active role in defending Japan's skies.
In 1995, to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the aircraft replacement with the F-15J, a maintenance worker from the squadron at the time painted a commemorative aircraft with a Valkyrie, a character from Norse mythology, on it.
This color scheme is still talked about as a masterpiece.

[About the model]
This model is a plastic model assembly kit based on the 1/72 Japan Air Self-Defense Force F-15J Eagle, recreating the commemorative painted aircraft produced in 1995 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the 204th Squadron's upgrade to the F-15J.
The design, which features Valkyries from Norse mythology painted all over the aircraft, is called the Mystic Eagle, and is still talked about today as a masterpiece of commemorative paintwork.
The markings on this popular aircraft are faithfully reproduced with high-quality decals made by Italian Cartograf.
Of course, the aircraft itself is renowned for its realistic finish, from its shape to the details of the legs and engine exhaust, and even the cockpit.
The finished overall length is approximately 270mm, giving it plenty of presence.
You can also use the separately sold detail-up parts for the aircraft parts and cockpit parts.

This model is based on the commemorative paint job created in 1995 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the F-15J Eagle model upgrade.
The markings include the 1995 markings of the 204th Squadron, known as the Mystic Eagle.

The details of each part of the aircraft are also realistically expressed.
