[Actual vehicle guide]
The DD51 type 800 series, which was introduced for freight use, was characterized by the lack of steam heating equipment, and many of the cars inherited by JR East were used to pull freight trains on the Hachiko Line at Takasaki Depot.
Since the late 1990s, it has been used mainly for construction and event trains, but operation of all vehicles will end in November 2024 when it is replaced by construction trains KiHa E195 and GV-E197.
The 842 and 895 locomotives, which were the last to operate at the Gunma Vehicle Center, had previously been maintained for pulling imperial trains, and the silver color of the handrails, chimney, and couplers remained until the very end.

Separate parts are included to recreate the satellite phone antenna stand and icicle cutter on the roof.
The side of the cab, with the tablet catcher removed and only the protector remaining, is reproduced with a new production.
The different front handrails and roof shapes of the No. 842 and No. 895 models are reproduced.
