Product Description

In recent years, it has become customary for the 1/250 scale collector's number of Hot Wheels to be a model based on the winning car of the Legend Tour sponsored by Hot Wheels. The 2025 1/250 scale model is based on the Chimera (meaning a unit of two different bodies), a custom car made by New Zealander Chris Watson, who won the Legend Tour in 2023. The car is based on the first-generation Mazda MX-5 Miata (sold as the Eunos Roadster in Japan), and is equipped with screw-fastened works overfenders and an oil cooler inspired by Japanese highway racers. The oil cooler piping is intentionally exposed on the front fender, and the car is finished in an inorganic color scheme, giving it an end-of-the-century cyberpunk feel that is interesting.
