Product Description

- F-16XL is a prototype tactical fighter developed by General Dynamics and is a derivative of F-16.
- As a jet fighter aircraft classified as the 4.5th generation, the main wing is a crank, Arrow, Delta wing and aircraft that aimed at improving the amount of armored weapons and range.
- In the Enhanced Tactical Fighter (ETF) plan of the US Air Force which began in 1981, this machine was defeated by the F - 15 E strike eagle and adoption was not sent off.
- Two remaining prototypes were offered to use for flight research from NASA, and after being used for flight research until 1999, both machines were stored in the Dryden flight test center, but in 2007 Lockheed will also be used for flight research and its research is still ongoing.
- The multi-seat type is an aircraft remodeled from Unit 3 FSD (Full-Scale Development), the total length is the same as the single-seat trial production No. 1.
- If F - 16 XL was adopted, it was planned to give the name of F - 16 F to the double seat type.
